Good Morning! I know that it is not even New Year's yet, but I need to plan ahead for budget reasons (I know I'm not the only one!).  Susan and Alyssa, have either of you got any ideas for January yet?   Thanks. Peace! Beth

The next Lunch Bunch will be January 12 at 1pm. Cheryl has requested IHOP at Hickory Hollow. Her son is the manager and can put us in a room/area of our own. I will be confirming this with him after the first of the year. They do have menu items beyond the pancakes and other sugary/fatty breakfast fare. This is part of the learning to eat post-op.  Hope to see old friends and many of our new friends at this gathering. All are welcome, pre-op, post-op, still researching or waiting for approval or a date. We welcome any procedure, any hospital, any surgeon. I also want to make sure everyone knows that support people are welcome. This can be spouse, significant other, friend or family member. For those who are still in the liquid or puree stage, we will help you find something you can eat. This is really helpful at the early stage because you can talk to others who have "been there, done that" and can answer any question you may have as well as give suggestions for what to eat at the various stages.

I talked to him about everything this morning, he said no problem with the date or time. We can arrange the tables however we want them. Order whatever child or adult, special orders, anything we want. Him and his staff will take awesome care of us. Susan if you want to give him a call I will PM you his numbers. I know that this is not the best place for anyone, especially us to eat at, but this is just another learning experience for us all. Thanks for considering my idea, it means a lot to me. I also have another motive for this, I am hoping that he will be able to see all that we have lost and he might consider WLS. He will always be my baby, no matter what, I just want to see him healthier. Cheryl

That would be great Cheryl. I think this will be a good learning experience for us. It will help us all learn how to make good choices under any cir****tance. I'll watch for your PM.

If anyone wants to check out the menu,@ www.ihop.com  they have a new section called IHOP and me. It is for anyone watching carbs, calories, etc. They also have a plate on the child's menu that is fish pan fried in pam with a green veggie and it is only $3.99. They also have this same fish in a adult portion. They have soup and salad also, I asked him what kind of soup and he said it just depends, but if we let him know what kind most people wanted he would make sure he had it available.  Cheryl

Tim cleaned out his closet today... have 4 men's shirts to bring. Maybe more if I can talk him out of the long sleeved ones that he will never wear. I also have 2 moka pots.  does anyone want them?  I got a new espresso/coffee maker for Christmas.  Don't need the moka pots anymore. what else...  let's see.  I'll sort through and see if I can bring Susi Q  a few pieces.  I have been waiting for lunch bunch all month...  seems like a long time since we last were together.
