Random thoughts while deciding between "Chicken or Beef Broth"
OMG what a wonderful losers bench. You sure got lucky on that one. Here's what I did regarding the liquids. I hated the broth at Blount Memorial in Maryville. It was from bullion cubes and always tasted like onions. Wonton soup tastes good. Mom would buy those romane noodles in a cup, she would drain the broth for me and she would eat the noodles. Chicken soup and vegeable soup is good just drain the broth. Don't throw away the other part of the soup, add water to warm it up a second time and drain it to get the broth. Campbell's beefy mushroom soup is great, just be sure to drain the small chunks of the mushrooms and beef. I never bought just the broth, the soup broth tasted so much better. I would advise you to not buy chicken soup from Dollar General. It's really yellow like butter. For breakfast I would have 2 ozs of broth, 2 ozs of sf jello, and 2 ozs of apple juice. I found the Gerber apple juice far better. It didn't hurt my pouch so much. I still prefer it over regular apple juice. Beth can always make a pot of soup beans like pinto beans and you can eat the broth from those. Yummy. Then you don't have to make the decision of chicken or beef. You have other choices. You can get a large wonton soup from a chinese restaurant to go. I have a chinese cookbook, I'll send you a recipe so you can make your own.
Glad you are doing so well. The first day after I got back from surgery I was weighed and I had 30 lbs extra on me just from all the saline fluids. Glad I lost that a week after being discharged, remember I was in the hospital for 5 days because of my chemo kept depleting my potassium and I needed a pint of blood because my blood levels were too low. I never thought "what have I done to myself" but Thank God for allowing me to have the surgery. I questioned it when I had my thigh reduction.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Hey Scott!
Sorry I am just now able to check the message board, but I saw your post and wanted to make sure you were okay. I LOVE the loser bench!! That was the perfect gift!!
I'm glad you are doing well... I don't really have any suggestions except make some homemade chicken soup and drain it. It was far better than any canned broth.
I hope you guys had a Merry Christmas and have an even better New Years!!
