Good morning dearest friend, hope you are having a wonderful day!!! I am finally getting to relax alittle before starting again. Brian and Ash are finishing up on the groc. list. And I couldn't hang. So I am home with the kitties and coffee. But on Christmas eve we go to the Mama's, to celebrate the holiday with them. The Ham, veggies, and all of the trimmins. as well as the sweets that goes along with the grandma's house.  But this yr, I am sending the twist, I adding the SF style to mine. Then on Christmas morn, we will wake up as usual and open the gifts and prepare a small breakfast, not very heavy due to the larger dinner. But a traditional Dinner with only Brian, Ash and myself.  We are having the standing rib roast, yorkshire pudding, roasted potatoes, with scalloped veggies. along with SF dish of pudd'n. Hugs and luv for a Very Merry Christmas Barb

Christmas Eve is going to be celebrated at my granny's house. We do soups/appetizers...I think this year there is going to be chili, chicken and dumplins, mini sandwhiches, pigs in a blanket, veggie tray, cheese and summer sausage tray and lots of sweet stuff. I'm making "cheesecake tarts" that I found on bariatriceating.com They're mini cheese cakes in a cupcake holder deal. They sound yummy and are the perfect size to settle that sweet tooth. I can't wait to see how they turn out. We also play goofy games that can last for hours. This year, we drew names for christmas gifts. Last year, we did a photo exchange. Since no one had updated pictures of each other, we exchanged updated photos.

There aren't any plans for Christmas Day. Hubby and I may go see a movie. He has been dying to see "I am Legend" the new Will Smith movie and the new "National Treasure" Other than that, probably lounging around the house. I'm also off from work on Wednesday so I may check out some of the after christmas sales.

I hope you have a great Christmas Juanita!

I will be at gransma's myself tonight. Just to spend time really. My "granny" as I call her usually cooks diff things. It should be a good time. I am looking forward to being off tomorrow with my kids. Love thier expressions on Christmas morning, makes me feel like a child again. The phot exchange is a great idea, and little cost as well. Everyone seems to have a tight or little budget and we drew names as well for my dad's side of family.  Hope you enjoy the movie if that is what you and hubby wind up doing. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas !

We have finally gotten everything done that had to be done away from the house. I told hubby that there was no way I wanted to be near any store today. We are going to our son's house tonight to get together with his family and our daughter and SIL. This year we are doing chili. I'm making a pot using ground beef and no chopped onion, because hubby doesn't like onions, and my SIL is making a pot using venison with the chopped onions. DDIL is providing all of the accompanying sides, sour cream, cheese, salsa, chips, lettuce, tomatoes, chopped fresh onion, etc. We are each bringing a dessert. I'm taking chocolate crinkles. They're not sugar free but they are my kid's favorite cookie. A few years ago our church changed from a midnight service on Christmas Eve to a 5 o'clock service to be more convenient for families with small children. Hubby and I will have our own midnight celebration to light the Christ candle. Christmas Day hubby and I plan on going to see the new National Treasure movie.  We are both off until January 2nd so we have plans for some work around the house as well as some fun. We want to go see ICE! at Opryland and I want to finish the bathroom we added to our house.  All I have left to do is grout the tiles and hang the wallpaper, then we will be ready to move in the "furniture", commode and vanity. Oh, and hang the shower doors and door between our bedroom and the bathroom. We are both looking forward to having it finished because it has a 48" shower. It's funny, we both grew up in large families, hubby is oldest of 9 and I am middle of 8, with one bathroom and now with just the 2 of us we have 2 bathrooms.

I think I gained five lbs just reading about everyones dinner plans. : ) I used to go to Midnight Mass a few years back with neighbors and enjoyed it. Sounds like your bathroom is almost done, it will be great to have your own, know you love hubby but us ladies sometimes need our own place to put all our knick knacks. : ) If you need help let me know, I am no good at wall paper but I am a quick study and could learn to do tile. Hope you enjoy Ice, I took the kids one year and they really liked it. Especially the ice slide. FUN !! WOW you and bill both should enjoy the sanctity of your own bathroom after always having to share with all your siblings. Hope you enjoy and have a Merry Christmas.
