Dr Spaw is the best Angela, so don't worry about a thing and trust him because he won't mis-lead you. I'm one of his biggest supporters. However he will never accept the praise without giving God the glory!!
The two week period before the surgery are critical to success, follow his instructions for the dreaded liquid diet. The time went by so fast. I will keep you in our prayers.
Blessings

Welcome to the TN board Angela. And CONGRATS on your upcoming surgery. Time will fly by - especially since it is the hectic holiday season. If you have any questions, let us know. My only advise is to follow the recommended liquid diet before surgery. You can also get everything together you will need for the hospital. Primarily things that make you comfortable like a housecoat and house shoes and your personal stuff. I also highly recommend ordering the protein pack (if they still have it) on bariatriceating.com. It is several different brands and flavors of protein powders that you can try after surgery to determine which one you like so you only have to get those. I also would invest in a good blender (like the magic bullet works wonders). And just get your house in order and your fridge cleaned out. Stock up on the stuff you will need after surgery (like chicken broth and jello). That way you can focus on just recovering and not having to clean and go to the store.
I am sure you will have lost of questions by then. We are here to help.
