I called the insurance company today and found out that I have been approved for surgery.  Now just need a date from the doctor. I'm so happy and so scared. Sue

Congratulations Sue!  What hospital/doctor are you using? I understand what you mean about being both happy and scared.  The moment I found out I was approved is when it hit me "hey I'm really having this surgery!". That is when I started feeling nervous and scared. The people on these boards were my mainline to what I would be expecting. They are very supportive and help to answer any and all questions that are asked. I couldn't have done it without them and quite frankly still can't. So jump in there with both feet and ask questions and make yourself as prepared as possible before surgery. It seemed like the more I learned the less nervous I was and maybe you will be the same way. Melissa

Glad to hear that I am not the only one that is going thru a rollercoaster of emotions ever since I got approval from the insurance and appointment with the surgeon to see me for the first time.   Some days I feel excited about what is ahead, then I go to fear of the unknown (like what will it be like to be able to do "little people things" like buy a bracelet that doesn't always have to be the "LARGEST SIZE."  Like stand in line and your feet don't hurt.   Then I go into:  but I can't have all the """"what ever I am craving at the time." Anybody else relate to this???? Sharon/Memphis
