Morning Ya'll

Just a quick note to let you know I am alive, but swimming!  This liquid diet is not bad, but no to good either!  Let's see, Monday was fine except for the co-worker who walked by with a Digiornio pizza and said, "This smells so good".  My comment was (in my Partridge Family Impersonation ), "I Think I Love You".    Tuesday was a little better.  The only problem at  work today was a office mate who savored a Cheezit like she was in the throes of ...  You fill in the blanks!   I have figured out something that I have known forever, but now it's real.  STRESS IS A FOOD TRIGGER!  Tuesday night I blew the liquid diet!  But Wednesday was a new day and I did great!  Now, when I started the liquid thingy, I weighed in at 303.9, this morning, I weigh in at 294.1.  Where did that come from?  Things are going great, so Thanks for the thoughts and prayers! Now, on to more pressing business.  My sister is having her surgery today at 10:30 at Vanderbilt.  Beth is going to the hospital, and her husband has my work number.  So I will be posting when she comes out of surgery.  The favor I am asking is to keep her and her husband, as well as the surgeons in your prayers today.  Also, I think it would be nice for her to come home and see her surgery page filled with well wishes!  So, please go to the link below and wish her the best!  Love you guys, you re just plain awesome! Co-workers who comment on their food as they eat it should be shot!! You can do this Scott. You only have 5 more days to go. I'll be watching for the update on Melissa and sending up prayers for her and her team.

Sorry those folks are be'n so hard on ya. They wouldn't like that to happen to them. I just went through one half day of clear and another day an half of soft, my throat was so sore from that EDG. I felt part of your pain. Bless your big ole heart.  I know my times a com'n. hopefully soon. I'll be able to help someone through the dreadful times after it is over. I left a brief message for Melissa. I know that prayers and love is on her side.  God Bless her and ya'll family and Dr. Richards and his staff. Hugs to all Barb and  Family

Scott: I know that you can do this.  If I can...anyone can.   We had a barbeque and a dance for Amelia's 16th birthday on the Sunday before my surgery on Monday.  Did I mention the huge chocolate cake with ganache and chocolate covered strawberries.  I didn't even lick my fingers.  That was one of the toughest days of my life because I could have easily eaten that whole cake!!!!!   Trust me...this is SO WORTH IT!!!!  I just kept telling myself that if I ate solid food...they wouldn't do my surgery.  I made it and so can you.  Now go have a delicious cup of chicken broth with a sprig of fresh rosemary in it!  And don't forget to comment on how lovely the bouquet is!!!! Hey Scott, you just hang in there, we all know that you have the courage to do it. It is hard when you are around other people, most of them have no idea what it does to you. Like everyone has said, it will all be worth it in the end, which will actually be a new beginning. So just keep sipping, sipping and before you know it your day will be here. I will post a message for Melissa for sure. Prayers going out to her and all of her family. Keep us posted when you can. Hope you have a great liquidy day.........HEHE Cheryl

Scott- I have all of the faith in the world in you. If anyone can do this you can.  Just think how great you'll look and how prissy you and Beth can be together in a few months!    It is so worth it! I am home now, and the MD just called and all is clear. He was able to remove all of the cancerous and suspicious cells...he did a 10 inch abdominal incision- bikini type to lift everything out together without having to make further cuts. The pain was more than I could have ever dreamed and the care was mediocre at best. It is so good to be home. I am here and will keep you in my prayers. Thank you and Beth for all of yours. LuvMissy
