New from M'boro-A little about me
Hi new to board! I live in M'boro. I had surgery on Oct 23rd. Lost total including preop of 35lbs. I do not cheat at all folks, but scale is not moving. I have found through support sites such as this that its a common occurance but still its disheartening. I have not attended a support group yet. Nashville is too much of a drive on a regular basis for me. I found one in M'boro first or second tuesday of every month. I am looking to get more connected localy to this scene. Would love to make some WLS friends.

Welcome to the TN board. I want to wish you much success on your weight loss. The stalls are pretty normal. Especially at your stage (about 5-6 weeks). Your body has finally started recovering from the major surgery and then it starts to go into starvation mood. It will hold as much as it can from you. Eventually, it will get used to the amount of food you will be eating and start to come back to the weight loss. Then it will start coming off really fast. I am sure you are doing nothing wrong. We just have to give time for our bodies to catch up to the new eating habits. Congrats on your weight loss so far. You are doing great. 35 pounds is wonderful. Keep it up.

Welcome to the board, we are having the Baptist Party at 5 on Saturday and then at 8:30, we are having our online support group Christmas Party at Hickory Falls in Smyrna. Maybe you can join us and get broken in first hand or should I say Face to Face!!!
Glad to have you here,
Shelia
PS
I have found that I either loose inches and sizes or pounds but not both at the same time, strange, but true and others say the same thing, so either they are as strange as I am LOL or it really is true!! 35 pounds is great since your surgery!!!

Welcome to the TN board! Support is the best thing around, and we are glad you are here. If you have any questions, or answers for that matter...just speak up! I have found this group to be the most entertaining, thoughtful, compassionate, and thought provoking group of people I've ever met. Oh yeah, they are kinda nice also! So welcome! Congrats on the weight loss.
And don't you dare think about stealing my last hamburger!
