I do....I'm still in my 6 month supervised 10% weight loss period....I might can help.....what do you need to know?

I was wondering how hard it is to get approved for the surgery.  I live in Michigan.  My husband is an over the road truck driver and his employer is based out of Tenn.   What steps do you need to go through? Thanks!

You need to look at his insurance handbook and make sure there isn't an exclusion, then call the customer service number and ask them what they require.  they have different requests through different employers so each company is different, so the best thing to do is call them. darlene

You need to call the 1 800 # on the back of your insurance card. Ask customer service what you need to do to get approved for weight loss surgery. You should probably get a good idea of which surgery you would like to have. But everytime I talked with BCBS customer service, they have always been nice and helpful. Good luck to you :-)
