A Little Fun- Favorite Celebrity WLS Recipient

Okay, okay, okay. I don't know if it's been done on any of the other boards or even if it's been done on this one but I just thought I'd sort of try to lighten the mood here for just a  minute.

I was looking at t.v. today and I saw Star Jones. She is gorgeous and very healthy looking. I have some that beg to differ, but It's not an arguing issue it's an opinionated one and something fun for us all to participate in. She has got to be the choice celebrity for me that's had WLS.
I was looking at her crossed legs and those heels had to be almost if not at least 3". I just think it's an amazing transformation from the person that she was and she appears to be sticking to the new lifestyle pretty well. Way to go Star!

Now it's your turn to share your opinions and informed tidbits about celebrities that you know of that have had WLS.

I don't really know many celebs that admit to having WLS.  Star finally did, she never denied but she just evaded the issue.  I guess Carnie Wilson is the only other one I know, she proved that she is a human and not a perfect celeb when she first had her surgery on the internet and then admitted to issues like addiction changes . As far as looks, they both look wonderful, but I think that Carnie has been more of a "role model" because she has been very open about all aspects of WLS. Who else has had WLS? Darlene

I did a bit of so called snooping around and found a nice little article on surgeon to the stars and found that some that we didn't think of had surgery to counteract their weight problem.

Carnie is an excellent example. I totally forgot about her until you mentioned her, glad you did. And you're right not many celebs will confess but I thought it would be fun to look for some that did and chat about them.

Star did deny the fact, she certainly did. Carnie didn't, that's a good point. Thanks Darlene!

I know that Gil Jararde (sp)  It wasn't flash gordon that he played in, what was it, my goodness I can't remember, this is really gonna bother me.   I love to watch Al Roker, bless his heart, he really has it tough, his job with all the food, I think that  maybe is more of a henderance than a help.Hugs Barb

I knew this would be fun! How could I forget Al Roker......OMG, and the others. Yes, the celebrities need help too, this is one time they have to admit, publicly or not, that they are no better than the rest of us. And the list continues to grow. We now have 9!

I think one of Mohamad Ali's Daughters had the WLS. I know she promoted O.H. when I heard her on the radio.. I know she's not a big Celeb. But she was all i could think of..

Thanks for the input, she's got status. You know I forgot all about her and yes, you do see her on this site. So that makes 10. We'll use her for her father's well known status in the world.

While I was in the waiting room at Baptist, a lady from Sevier county told me that Dolly Parton had gastric bypass.  I don't know if that is true or not but if it is...she is my all time favorite!
