Just thought I would update you all on what's going on.  My paper work was changed very easliy  to have gastric instead of lap-band.  Now here is the funny part of the story(not really, but it helps keep my spirts up to think of it that way) Called  to see about getting my surgery scheduled, the doctor that was chosen for me at the begininng of the journey is on paternity leave until the middle of Jan.  I was never told that this might happen, now remember that I am trying to get this done before the Jan because my insurance changes and will cost me quite dearly.  So now here is my problem......One lady has not returned my calls and the other lady the front desk told me to speak to, her mailbox is full and I can not even leave her a message.   I am feeling like I have been hit in the gut.  I am trying to stay postitive, but it sure makes the days long when you can never get anyone to answer your calls. Thanks for letting me vent, loe you guys and I'll keep you posted. Melissa

Hey Melissa, VENT away, lord knows that I have on here. This is the pit's for sure, the run around, the no phone contact, I'm sure you feel like you are beign pushed aside. All I can say is keep pushing, don't give up. I wish I had the magic words for you, but I'm sorry I don't. Try and keep your chin up and it will happen. Cheryl

Melissa:

You have got to keep calling.  Keep calling until you get real speaking voices, anybody in the weight loss surgery center.  Who is your nurse that saw you for medical clearance to meet with the surgeon?  Remember the squeaky wheel gets the oil first.  Is it up to you to choose the replacement surgeon or have they chosen one for you?  Did she say?

They will have to speak to you if you are there in person, maybe that will work???!!!  I hate that you are so close but yet so far away.  As we all know God is in control and he will make sure that you are taken care of!!!  If you need me I am here for you.

Hey Melissa: Email Jennifer.  I started with Vanderbilt before I changed over to Dr. Spaw.  The best way I found to get in touch with Jennifer was always through email.  Good luck! Freddie

I agree with Sheila. They can't ignore you if you are standing in their face. If you can at all make a trip to them in person. Whatever you do don't give up because you have come way too far. Good luck!
