stepdads BD still in long term hospital

I just thought I would drop a update and thank everyone for the prayers and thoughts please keep them coming,  Today is his birthday,(happy birthday dad)  even though he is still very sick he is working really hard to get stronger he is walking with help of someone and his walker, We still dont think he will be home for Thanksgiving,  This is very hard on both, mom doesnt want to do anything for thanksgiving with the family up there with out him. She is so exhausted I dont want her to get sick, Medicare allowed him to get a walker but will not allow someother things for him like a potty chair and shower chair, Which we have here in TN and no way right now to get the stuff up there for him,  We have it from my in-laws that have pasted.  They are to big to ship,  My daughter and her boyfrind are trying to make place to come here for Christmas and hopefully them they can take this stuff back with them for dad,  I wish I could make a trip up there,  I just dont have the funds right now,  Last week i had to sink about 300.00 in my van when it rains it pours.  I am still dealing with depression, My phyc wanted to up my depression med for a while but the insurance company wont allow it and wants me to fight and appeal it, I just dont have it in me and I dont have another 100.00 to buy the extra meds, So with the help of my therapist and all your prayers and thoughts I will get through this,  this friday and through thanksgiving is gonna be good my daddy and step mom are coming in from Fl for thanksgiving,  I have not seen them since I had surgery.  Thank you to everyone that has sent prayers and thoughts our way please continue I know there working. Hi hon, so sorry you are having it so rough. Bless your heart. Vent all you want, I've been told on many of occassions that is why they are here. So hon just let it go. I was so hope'n that your dad had gott'n better. it sure it rough on the mama's. There is still hope,  lots of prayers can be answered between now and Thanksgiving hon. Keep the Faith. Barb

Don't know if this is helpful for you, but Goodwill, etc, usually has bedside commodes and shower chairs for a few bucks.  You might want to try there.  I see them at garage sales, estates sales, all the time.  Good luck.
