Needing some prayers

Hi folks, well it's my time for some serious prayers. I got a phone call earlier this evening and found out that my uncle had shot and killed himself, he commit suicide. He was my dad's baby brother. I lost Dad 32 years ago and I haven't seen this uncle in quite some time. Dad's side of the family wasn't very close, so we just haven't stayed in touch like we should have. My uncle was 64 and from what I know so far he was just depressed, told his wife he was going hunting and that is how it happened. He leaves behind a wife, 4 kids, not sure how many grandkids. So I am having a rough time, of course this brings back memory's of Dad. We view the body for the first time tomorrow, not real sure how that is going to go. The funeral is Tuesday in the afternoon, so Tuesday will be a roller coaster ride for me for sure, I also have a weigh-in on Tuesday. I was looking forward to Tuesday, but now it brings me down. I just wanted to let you guys know what was going on and ask for your prayers. I will be out of the loup for the next few days. I will post again once things settle down. I enjoyed the Lunch Bunch today, it was a huge turnout, I can't wait to see the pics. Great to meet all of the ones that I hadn't. Thanks, Cheryl P.S. Shelia you looked awesome........Kym I hope that you are feeling better.........

Cheryl,

I lost my father when I was 18 and I too have a difficult time when someone passes, because it does bring those memories back and I am so very sorry that you are going through this, but remember we are here for you, we support each other regardless of what we are going through not just WLS related, that is why this group is so awesome because we truly care.  Is the funeral local?  If so, could you please post the details or PM me with them. You have my prayers!! Shelia

I will keep you and your family in my prayers.  I shared on my yahoo group that yesterday was the 4th anniversary of my brother's death. (in a tractor accident).  It is very hard to get over these things and hard not to question why, but God has a plan.  I too lost my father at an early age, he was morbidly obese as well and his heart finally wore out when I was 21, you never forget, just remeber in different ways.

Love and hugs,

Darlene

I am so sorry to hear this type of tragedy in your life.  We lost our son to suicide 18 months ago.   His birthday is coming up next week and he would have been 31.  I remember the day it happened like it was yesterday.  I will share that I backed down my day to ONE MINUTE AT A TIME as it was so overwhelming just to breath.  Like you said ROLLER COASTING.   I will be thinking of you during this time and say some prayers for you through out the days to come.  If you need to write to me PM and we can discuss feelings I went thru, but also I can help support you like I have been supported.
