The MRI says.......

That I have a torn miniscus and cartilage in my left knee that will require surgery.  I have an upper resperatory infection right now so I have to wait for that to clear up before scheduling surgery .  Looking at surgery the first week of December. Darlene

Darlene,

This sounds like it would be very painful, bless your heart. It seems like you and Sheila just have the darndest luck. I hate that it will require surgery to fix it but I'm sure you will feel so much better afterward that it will be worth it. Take good care of yourself and I hope that nasty URI goes away quickly.

Hi Darlene, I saw your post and decided to come out of the shadows.  Only you could do this to me....I had to ask you this....what about the Christmas Party at Centennial?  Will you miss it?  Or will your surgery be after the 14th?   Hope you get to feeling better. Love ya girl!!! Tammy P pre-op 526/298.4/155

Tammy, we're glad you came out of the shadows!  It's nice to put a face with someone's name!  Take your coat off and sit awhile. We're really nice and don't bite, well I'll speak for myself!

Glad that you came out from the shadows.  I will be able to come to the party.  I am not gonna miss it.  I even talked Dusty into coming.  I will probably have the surgery before then but it is orthroscopic and I will leave with crutches, will need to use them a few weeks and then just be careful until I am healed up.  So I may have to settle for not dancing around at the party, but I will be there.

Thank you, yes I am having it orthoscopically so it is good to hear how someone else has done with it.  I love the little bunny on crutches, I am gonna have to save him.

Sorry to hear you are looking at surgery. It may just heal faster with the surgery than if it was a less damaging injury to soft tissue only. My hubby had arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn miniscus and he was on crutches for about a week and walking carefully without them the next week. He's a photographer so he is on his feet all day. He said the pain after surgery was nothing compared to what it had been before surgery. Take it easy and let us know how you are doing.

Thanks Susan,

It is great to hear that your hubby said it feels better now.  I do look forward to being able to walk and go without pain all the time.
