Lap Band

Greetings friends, I was hoping to find a couple of other TN lap band folks to connect with. If you are out there please let me know. I go in for my second fill on Friday and I must say am super stoked about what that means for me. I know I can find plenty of resources on the Lap Band page, but would be even better to connect with some of you here in TN. Much Love

There aren't very many TN lap banders that frequent this board (at least that I'm aware of) But I do know that Centennial has a support group specifically for Lapbanders if you aren't aware of that. Good luck on your 2nd fill!

Well I am not a lap bander yet but I am trying my dammest.I just started my weight lose for the 10%of my body weight yesterday congrats on the lap band .Hope its going great for you !!!!!!!!! 

I had lapband on 9/7/07. So far, I have not met many people with lapband in the Tennessee area.  I had my second fill already and I am fxin' to go for my 3rd fill on the 16th.. I am also planning on going to a meeting on this Thrusday at Baptist. I hope that you are doing good.  

Hey Paul, welcome to the TN board, I am still some what of a newbie, these folks are great and will support you no matter what. I had my Lapband on 08/21/07, I have lost a total of 51 lbs as of 10/23, I have had 2 fills and one little un-fill. Been doing so so with that. I go back on 11/13, don't think I need another fill for sure, if anything maybe a little more taken out, just not real sure. You should consider joining us either this Sat for a get together or Dec for our Christmas get together, just an indea. It is a way cool way to meet some of these folks. I have had my lap band since 5/30/07 (with Dr. H also) .  The second fill helps some, but it was the 3rd one that really gave me restriction.

Hi.  I'm TN lap band.  I'm new, surgery 9/4/07,  but i'll help you if i can.

I just got approved for the lap band, no date scheduled yet, but it will be before Christmas. I'm starting the protein shakes and one lean cuisine business tomorrow. More about me since this is my first time posting in the TN forums. I'm a 23 year old male. I am currently 6'0 and 292 pounds. My highest weight was 426 in August 2006. I dropped down to 272 with diet and exercise alone. I've gained 20 pounds in the last three months though and have decided to go with the band just in case. Don't want to risk ballooning back up to 426, and I wasn't even finished losing before I started gaining again.  I meet with Dr. Lynch on the 5th and that's the date my surgery will be scheduled.
