Significant WOW moments

Tuesday I was at the Y and just got done on the eliptical when a woman I had seen the previous day said, "You had gastric bypass surgery?" I responded by saying yes, and how did she know...she told me she had the surgery 2 years ago and she was 600lbs before surgery...now she's probably around 275...it was just a humbling experience knowing that there are many of us lurking out there.  The other WOW moment...I've got a male friend with a serious case of, as he calls it...Allyitis...that's right...Alyssa has a boyfriend.   First one in 6 YEARS! So we'll see how this goes.  Hope everyone is doing well.

It is funny how things go when you see some of the same people everyday and then to find out, they are kinda in the same boat as you. BIG congrats on the boyfriend, can't wait to meet him at one of our gatherings. Tell him we will be gentle until he gets broken in...LOLCheryl

It is amazing to find out just how many people have had this surgery.  So many people either have a sister or brother who has had an RNY or they themselves have had it or want to know how to have it.  Amazing! I'm happy that you are tickled with your new boyfriend.  I agree that they can be so much fun and the feeling of a new relationship is way fun!  Enjoy! Freddie

Thanks all! I"m giddy as a school girl! This boy certainly is smitten.  It must be due me playing hard to get.  He texts me incessantly! Up to 10 times a day! He's very supportive of my wieght loss which is wonderful.  And occasionally I might have to remind him who wears the tiara...THIS QUEEN DOES! lol!  glitter-graphics.com
