Christmas Party!

Shelia is home with Dale so she is making some phone calls for us. We need to get a headcount for those interested in holding the Christmas party at Hickory Falls on Saturday, December 8th from 8:30 til close (11pm). We can stay until 11:30 or 12 with no problem. If we start gathering about 8, we are guaranteed to be seated at 8:30. The only time they have available on the 15th is 6pm and we would have to be out by 8pm because they have another party coming in at 8:30. I have to call them back on Monday to confirm the date and give them a credit card number to lock in our reservation. I am willing to use my credit card but I do need to have a count within the next 2 weeks. We will not have to pre-order our meals. Also, do we want to do an ornament exchange? Talk to me. Edited to add - The plans for the evening are for it to be an adults only evening. We would also like for it to be dressy. You decide how dressy you want to come. Each person participating in the ornament exchange would need to bring an ornament. Yes, they need to be wrapped and...let's set a dollar limit of $5 - $10 or handmade. FYI, I am at home with Dale, because at 9:00 I recieved a phone call and Dale has fallen and broken his left hand.  We go in the morning to the orto to see about casting, he is in a lot of pain and the meds are not helping much,

aww I'm sorry to hear about Dale. I hope he gets some relief soon and that the break isn't too severe.

It is his left hand and he is left handed, he also is a trumphet player!!

I have never heard of Hickory Falls. Where is it located?

 I have never participated in an ornament exchange... how does one work?? It all sounds like fun!

The ones that I have been involved in is where everyone brings an ornament, we pick numbers and the 1-whatever and the first person choses a package and shows the ornament, the next person can take that ornament or open another package, if your ornament is taken, then the you get to chose another ornamet, but one ornament can only be stolen three times.  This is a lot of fun, but everyone must act like adults and not get angry if we play it this way and thier ornament is taken!!  The cool thing is that we would have a lot of fun together and an ornament to remember our group together for years to come!!!

Thanks about Dale, we will know exactly what we are looking at once the ortho sees him in the morning!, I do know that strong IBU is not working and he is staying in a lot of pain right now!

ahhh okay. I've played something similar called Dirty Santa. That is a lot of fun! I love the ornament idea!

It is the same concept, but with ornaments instead of gifts, it seems like nobody gets upset!!! 

I am so sorry about Dale's hand!  Poor baby. 

Count us in for December 8th.  I will have at least two but hopefully four (Freda and John.)

One question...just for clarification...each person who plans to participate in the ornament exchange will need to bring an ornament..correct?  So Doug and I will need to bring two...one for each of us.
