Hello and welcome to the TN board, I had my Lab band done on 08/21/07, I used Dr. Charles Morton he is at Baptist, here in Nashville. He is awesome and so is the staff. I went into the Hospital @ 5:30 in the morning and was on my way home @2:00. I had a little problem with one of my incesions(sp), but that has now healed. My first fill went find, my second one not so good, they got me too tight and me being a hard head waited a week before going back to get some taken out, but did that and I think I am back on track now. That one week I lost 15lbs. which gives me a total of 51lbs. since 08/01/07. So I am doing fine, not sure how many banders are on this board, but that doesn't matter, they are all wonderful and gives lots of advice and friendship, this is a great board. We try to get together at least once a month, so you should try to join us, you can bring DH along also, everyone is invited. I went for the first time this past Friday night and had a awesome time, hope this helps and like I said, just ask the board and the will do anything to help you. Good luck with your journey....God Bless Cheryl.

Drs. Olsen and Houston are at Centennial, not Baptist. You might want to attend the seminar at Baptist before you make your decision. Each program is different and each surgeon is different as far as personality and bedside manner. I personally love all of the surgeons at Baptist and the office staff is top notch. I went to 3 seminars before I chose Baptist. You really have to choose your surgeon and program carefully because you will be seeing the surgeon for the rest of your life. You really want a surgeon who you feel comfortable with.

I live in Missouri and drove four hours to use Dr Houston.  I highly recommend him,  his staff was friendly.  The hospital was clean and their staff was of the highest quality.  I'm only six days out from surgery and have no complications.

Hey there! I had my lapband done on July 3, 2007. My doctor was Dr. Morton at Baptist. He and his nurse Heather have been awesome!!! I have not had any complications at all and I am pleased with my band. I have had four fills and I am down 57.8 pounds since the beginning of my journey. Good luck to you and let me know if I can be of any help.

I love Dr. Morton and Heather. He saw me one day when I was sick and Dr. Spaw was away on (a much needed) vacation. He was so sweet and Heather made me call her the next day just to follow up. You are doing great!! Almost 60 pounds in 4 months? Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I seen your posting and wanted to let you know how great my doctor was.  I went to Baptist in Nashville, and I had Dr. McDowell.  He is awesome!!!! He really takes his time with his patients and really is patient oriented.  He has been a real encouragement to me and helps me in anyway that I need to be helped.  I would recommend him to anyone that is considering to have the surgery.
