Still Have Hope

As a update from from my post Mon. I may still have a little hope left. My caseworker called my insurance to see if we got the 10% weight loss updated as they want it if, we can re-send it. They said YES. I made a appointment with my pcp today to talk to her face to face & get this exactly as I think it needs to be. When I call I have to explain & go through 2 or 3 people. I just decided I only have a $10 co-pay so I am going to talk face to face. She has been really good but, we have contacted her 2 or 3 times to re-write my letter. As soon as she gets it written she will fax to my surgeons office. Hopefully they will send on to the insurance. PLEASE keep your fingers crossed for me. Wish me a little magic. Hugs Ellen 

Good for you!  You and I seem to be fighting the same battle as countless ones before us!  So, what can we do..."Continue to fight".  i am on my way to my PCP's office this morning to personally pick up my records!  And then we shall see!  Saying a prayer for us now!

Hi Ellen. I am sorry this is happening to you. But you are doing the right thing. Stay on top of it and keep fighting for it. Sometimes we have to take things into our own hands and not rely on other people. Make sure you follow up and do everything you can to make sure this gets taken care of. It sounds like your insurance company is expecting to approve you once they get this "missing" info. I really hope that is the case. You have been working really hard for this so do not give up.

Thanks Juanita,   At least I haven't been totally denied like I thought. This is the 3rd time my pcp has had to re-write a letter. I don't see why insurance  don't ask at once instead of one thing at a time. Looks like they could see I am not giving up. Although you know I have wanted to a couple times. Guess we will see how long all this takes. UH! hugs Ellen

Hey Ellen, all I can say is keep on keeping on, it took me about 2yrs, lots of phone calls,emails, appts. etc. If you are like me you and the rest of us, need this, you want this, you will do whatever it takes to get this. Wishing you the best.Cheryl
