I have the Citracal calcium citrate petites but they are too big still.  I tried the calcium citrate chewables but not overly crazy about them.  I tried the chewable calcium bariatric eating website ones and they are like huge foamy chalky weird tasting things... so what other chewable vitamins or small small calciums do you guys take, where do you buy them and how much??? Any at Walmart or Walgreens that would work??

Have you tried the Citracal Creamy Bites? They are like a chocolate covered soft caramel. They come in lemon, chocolate fudge and caramel. I'm not too fond of the caramel but the lemon and fudge are awesome!!

I also love the Citracal Creamy bites. They are  really good. However, for the first several weeks after surgery, I could not tolerate them because it was just to much to chew at the beginning so I did the Bariatric Advantage Cinamon Lozenges. Have you tried those? They are a little chalky but you do not chew them. You just suck on them until they disappear and they are cinamon and taste ok when you do that. I did chew  them when I first got them and they were nasty and chalky and then someone said - nope- you are supposed to suck them and I did and  they were tolerable. I would say to stay away from the pills right now because you would have to take too many to get in the needed amount and they may not absorb as quick and as much as al iquid form or chewable form. I had a HARD problem finding calcium I liked and could tolerate. I must have spent $100s trying different ones. Now, I LOVE the citrical creamy bites in fudge flavor.

I have been taking Viactiv Calcium chewables. They taste like a piece of Chocolate. They have 500 mg of calcium plus vitamins D and K. I love them. I also take the viactiv multi vitamins in the chocolate flavor. I kinda think of them as a treat thats good for me. I tried alot of others but my tastes are so wacked. These are the only ones I could stand the taste of. Hope that helps. Brenda

I set myself a new goal. I can do it! I am going to do it!!!!

Hey Brenda, I just want to warn you that you really want to keep an eye on your calcium level. Viactiv is calcium carbonate and we don't absorb it as well as the calcium citrate. We don't have enough stomach acid for our body to break down the calcium carbonate so it can be readily absorbed. You may want to try another calcium citrate every so often to see if your tastes have changed again and you can find one you like. Sounds like you are doing well though. Keep up the good work! Susan
