Low carb cinnamon rolls
I have been wanting cinnamon rolls. Some months back, I found a recipe on bariatriceating that someone had posted... so I made them this morning. Here is the recipe:
Mix together:
1 1/4 cup carbquick/carbalose flour
5 tbsp cinnamon (I accidentally misread the recipe and used 5 tsp but I dont like lots of cinnamon)
3 packs splenda (I didn't have packets; I used 3 tsp)
2.5 tbsp butter (original recipe didnt say but I half melted in microwave)
2 eggs
splash of davinci SF vanilla syrup (optional)
Roll out like snakes so you can roll up like pinwheels
Some of them, I just rolled dough out and used a glass to cut into biscuit shapes
Sprinkle with some splenda and cinnamon
Bake 12-15 mins at 350 degrees
I topped mine after they were done. I would have used pecans but didn't have any. So:
took some walnuts, covered with SF cinnabliss and heated in microwave
YUMMY!
These sound wonderful! I have some of the Carbquick and all of the other stuff. I guess I'll be baking again tonight.
Five tablespoons of cinnamon sounds like an awful lot for just 1 1/4 cups flour. I think you probably put the right amount and the recipe was posted wrong. I'll let you know what I think once I make them.

you can get carbquik at www.netrition.com
They have lots of other low carb and protein stuff too
Its my new favorite site..and some of the products that BE carry can be found there as well...a few bucks cheaper with shipping for the entire order at $4.99. I feel like a traitor for even mentioning it..but a few bucks is a few bucks right??
I should warn you. Tim didn't like them. I liked the first one when it was hot. But now the smell of it is making me sick. He heated his up in the microwave. You know how temperamental I am about food!
But, Paula I had bought the carbquick from the SF store. Connie might still have some in her supplies. It also has recipes on there for cheese muffins and pizza crust. I wonder if that would be good???
