Got my Denial

Ellen, don't you dare leave us or give up.  I went thru 11 surgeons, getting leukimia, and after three long years finally had my surgery.  You can fight this, and you can go down fighting it, or sit back and do nothing.  I believe you are a fighter.  So while you are recuperating from the arm surgery, work on the appeal, do whatever you need to do to get it approved.  Most first letters are denials anyways.  They want you to give up.  DON'T I will take it easy on the hottie next door.  We talked last night and talk about a misunderstanding on both parts.  We're back to the hugs and kisses after we talked for two hours.  Hottie does have a name, Calvin, but I love hottie best.  Cute buns too.  I'm not ready to give up on him.  We just started in the middle and not the beginning.  We started over last night when I introduced myself and he did the same.  We started laughing, and by the end we were back to our old selves.  Thanks, he's really a very nice man.  Just he misunderstood somethings and I misunderstood things, but we're ok now.   You take it easy, get well, and appeal.  Love

Ellen, have you thought of using one of our centers in Nashville.  I mean, if Vandy is doing your elbow, then how about your bypass.  They are very helpful with appeals and such. Good luck! Paula

Hi Paula,   No, I hadn't thought of that but wouldn't mind. I just choose Memphis because it is a hr. closer. Wonder if they would take me over just because I was denied? UH!

Hello Ellen My name is Barbara I dont post very often I am mostly a lurker. I read your post and decided I needed to reply. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE UP! I  have been where you are now. I have bcbs of Ill and had to do 12 mos with pcp . I sent in all papers on may 22 after no word for 3 weks called and they said they  had not received papers . this went on papers were faxed 5 times and they also said it was not medicaly necessary. My surgeons office filed appeal in July and finally on July 20 was approved, I repeat DONT GIVE UP that is what the insurance is hopin for. A gal on this  board gave  me this same advice when I was down about my denial after 14 months of doing everything that was required.  I also thought it was never  going to happen for me so hang  in there lady and  fight for it, I will be keeping my eye on you I expect things to start happening for you as well. You have comfort for everyone else I sure hope this message gives some to you. I have received a lot of support and advice from this board and no one knew I was benefiting from all you great southern gals and lets not forget the guys too. Tennessee board rocks.
