ouchh shoulder pain
I am doing so great from getting my Lap Band, it is amazing!
However, I do have some pretty bad left shoulder pain.
" Some patients experience shoulder pain which is a result of the gas used during the procedure. An over-the-counter remedy can be taken, such as "Gas-X", to relieve the discomfort."
Reading up on it, seems it is normal. I guess it is gas.
Did anyone else have or still have this?
hmph... hope it leaves me soon!
Butttttttttttttttttttt... OUCHIESSSS

Yep, normal. I think that was the worst part of recovery for me. Walking helps move things along.

Ddee,
I had the lap band a few days before you and I had the same pain. I am a week and half out and I still have some pain in my shoulder (not alot). It is from the gas. I called my doctor because it did get unbearable and he recommended to use the Gas-X strips and to walk. I just had to wait it out. Just give it another day or two and it should be gone.
