plastic surgery

Just wondering.  How many of you big losers went ahead with your journey and had the plastic surgery to remove all that skin. Sue

I just had my excess skin removed... and the abdominal muscles repaired.  I will be honest.  It hurt more than the original gastric bypass and I am still healing up.  Doing good, but still healing.  It was last Thursday.  They removed about 3 to 3 1/2 lbs of excess skin.  I did not have a bad case, but bad enough hang down that insurance approved it.  So I would encourage every single person:  have your plastic surgeon take pictures and submit a letter to insurance.  It is always worth a try.  I got approved in 9 days.  I am flat and no hanging skin.  Lord I havent looked like this since I was 12 yrs old!  I am very pleased.
