waiting for a surgery date

I completed my six month diet the beginning to August.  I met with my surgeon on August 22.  I had my EKG, lab work and abdominal ultrasound on August 24.  I have my psych eval on August 30 but can't have my cardiac clearance until September 17.   So I guess I won't get my date until sometime after that.  Now that I've made the decision to do this, I want to get it overwith but I'm so scared and excited.  I don't want any complications ( like anyone does?) and I just don't want to be hungry. Any words of wisdom to help get me to my surgery date? Sue

Nice to meet you. You are describing quite normal reactions. I think it would be a bit weird if you weren't anxious. I used my anxiety to have a super clean house before surgery..didn't last long.... Anyway keep us informed! Beth B. in Chattanooga

 Hi,, i would make sure i have met all the insurance company's requirements,,,for example i had to have 3 nutrician visits and 2 support group meetings in before i got my date,,,,,i would just make sure i had covered all the bases,,,,,,,,,,,,,best of luck to you,,,o yeah i feel the anxiety also that you talked about,,, and i have read on here that most everybody does,,,,,,,,well i hope this helped some
