As most of you may or may not know, I just bought my first house!! Yeah! Only draw back is I don't have a truck to be able to move all my "stuff" from the apartment to my new house. So I'm begging, anyone out there willing to lend a girl a truck?

Hey Toni, we have two trucks but I don't think we could be much help since we are in Lawrenceburg but I have another suggestion...I do have some friends who used pickups recently and they gave this advice...you will come out cheaper in the long-haul by renting a U-Haul truck than you would by gassing up a pickup and going back and forth.  Hope all works out!

Thanks for the suggesstion, the only problem with the u-haul is having the cash up front. But it is worth looking into. Toni

Hi Toni, I was just thinking about you, Susan, and Melinda that Labor Day weekend last year when we first met Melinda, and how far she and all of us have come since that day.  I agree with Kym on the U-haul.  Man power, U-haul also has men that will load the truck and unload it for you.  Minimum of 2 men, and minimum of 2 hours, $50 an hour. I don't know if that is for each man or as a team.  I need to find one a truck that is, I have the man, to move my things over in a week from east of Knoxville.   I have a hottie living right next door to me, and he's a real hottie.  Yummy.

By the way, I have no money, and no smokes, either.  Does that qualify me as a quitter??  I hope you can get everything all moved and settled in.  But it is cheaper to do it all in one load then have to make several trips, with the gas prices.

Love ya,

The big problem with that is you need the cash up front... lol and I'm broke too! But thanks for the ideas. Toni

But you can get a U-haul or a different moving truck like Ryders, to use for the day, and just top off the gas or diesal tank to where it was when you got it.  The deposit doesn't have to be paid up front.  You can reserve it over the phone at 1-800-go-uhaul, they need a credit or debit card that puts a hold on your account until you turn the truck back in.  Then they take the hold off your account.  So the only thing you would have to pay is for the use of the truck for the day meaning 24 hours.  I have a van, but no gas until next weekend which I'm going over to Morristown to get most of the little stuff, kitchen, linens, bedding, curtains, ceramics, bookes, DVD's, and my tv. Oh and the wicker furniture will be tied on top of the van.  Then in Oct. I'll get the rest of the things like the dressers.  I have a cabinet that keeps the unmentionables and my shorts in that and hang everything else.  I'm sleeping on a blow up mattress, as I don't have a bed at the moment and all my sheets, spread, and quilts are for a queen size bed.  I'm just waiting for one to come into the help center, they don't sell the beds, just contact you when one comes in.  Can't beat that. Can't wait to see your new place.  I'll bring the charcoal.  LOL Best of luck to you on getting moved.  Love ya
