Prayer Request
Hi Everybody,
I know I’ve been away for a while. Life has been very hectic here of late. My Dad had been in 2 different hospitals and a nursing home since May 17th. Today we laid him to rest. He passed away this Tuesday. He fought a gallant fight but in the end he was ready to pass on to the next life. I am very thankful to the folks at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas who helped make his last days as peaceful as possible. My Dad always asked how much weight I had lost; I made my –100 pound mark last Thursday when I was able to tell him I had lost102 pounds. I am thankful my Dad was able to see me healthier and happier.
The days to come will be hard. I would like to request Prayers for my family especially my Dear Mother. Mom was by his side the entire 3 months they celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary in the hospital.
Thanks,
Steve, I lost my father when I was 18, therefore I can relate to what a great loss this is for you!! I am so very happy you were able to share your LOSER news with your father and of course, I will keep your family and especially your Mother in my prayers, it sounds like they had a wonderful life together!!

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Even though we as adults expect to bury our parents, it's never easy to let them go. I'm glad your family had the time to tell him goodbye.
I lost my dad 5 years ago after a lengthy illness and I am grateful for the last weeks we had.
