Fort Campbell wife scared

This is my first time here. I am scared. I hope to have surgery before my husband goes to Afghanistan.  I am so nervous about this that I have lost 15 pounds on my own. Any advice?

Hey there. I am at Fort Campbell also. I had my surgery on May 10th of this year.So far I have lost 70 lbs. I was thinking of trying to have the surgery without my husband being here. I am glad he made me wait. I needed him more than I thought I would. The surgery wasn't a piece of cake for me. I was in the hospital for 7 days. Right now I am doing much better. Everyone has different experiences. most of the people I know were out in 3 days. Try not to worry yourself sick. The surgery is a big deal but in the long run it is worth it. I was taking 8 different pills a day and now I am down to 1 for my thyroid in which I will take for the rest of my life, Plus the vitamins I take everyday. If I had it to do over again I would do it in a heart beat.  If you have any question about the surgery or just want to talk feel free to email me at [email protected].  Once again don't worry yourself sick!!!  Have a good night!!!!! Welcome to the board!!!   We are all so very supportive, do you have any specific questions in regards to the surgery?  Which surgery are yo considering!!!
