WOW moment weekend!

I had so many WOW moments this weekend I am still processing them along with everything else from the conference. For those who don't know, I went to the Women of Faith, Amazing Freedom conference in Atlanta. We went down on Thursday so we could attend the pre-conference with Beth Moore all day Friday. First - 5 of us rode to Atlanta together in one lady's Toyota SUV. It had bucket seats for the front and middle rows and a bench for the back seat. I was able to climb between the back bucket seats and sit in the very middle of the back seat and didn't have the seatbelt fasteners from either side digging into my buttocks.

Second - At the arena, our seats were on the uppermost level but 3 rows from the front of the section. That meant, to go to the bathroom, get a drink, go to lunch, anytime we needed to leave our seat, we had to climb 60 steps up to get out and 60 steps down to get back to our seat. How many times a day do you potty? Let's just say, I drank ALL of my water the past 2 days. I climbed those stairs with no problem!! I know that in the past I would have cringed at the thought of having to go down much less climb back up even once.

Third - Not only did my butt fit in that little Arena seat (you do know they made them smaller so they can get more people in) I was able to sit with my arms comfortably at my sides INSIDE the arm rests so my neighbors could have the armrest on either side of me. I was even able to put stuff under my seat and bend over and retrieve it from a seated position! Add in all of the walking we had to do to get from the parking garage to the arena, from the entrance to our seats, stand in line for the potty, stand in line for drinks, stand in line to purchase stuff related to the conference, stand in line for the potty, stand in line to get lunch, stand in line for the potty, stand in line for drinks, stand in line to get out of the arena, stand in line for the potty, walk around the CNN building during the break between the pre-conference and the conference, stand in line for supper, eat supper sitting on the floor of the food court because there were so many people, stand in line for the potty, stand in line to get back into the conference, walk back to our seating section, stand in line for the potty, walk with the crowd leaving the arena and walk back to the parking garage and drive back to the hotel. Repeat most of this on Saturday, adding the 3 floors of stairs in the parking garage because the elevators were too busy. There is NO WAY I could have done even 1/2 of this 18 months ago. If I had tried, I would have been miserable and unable to enjoy the event. Instead, I left my friends and sisters in Christ uplifted, exhilerated and renewed in spirit. The singing was wonderful. The speakers were anointed. And the spirit was sweet! There is another story I want to share, but that will be another post.

I thought about all of you on Saturday and so missed being with you all for the luncheon. There are so many new faces in the pictures Scott posted. I look forward to our next luncheon so I can meet some new friends and hug the necks of some old friends.

P E A C E - It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

I missed you so much Saturday, but I am so happy you got to experience all of this...even the "bad" things were wonderful because they proved how much you have accomplished in less than 2 years.  You are such an inspiration to so many of us, especially me!  I can't wait to hear the other part of the weekend...must be amazing!  Did you get to meet Beth Moore?
