Psych Eval Info Needed

It's been awhile since I've posted but life has been busy.  I'm nearing the end of my 6 month doctor supervised diet.  August will be the last month for that.  I've lost 10 lbs on it.  Not what what I'd hoped for but not too too shabby I don't suppose.

Now, I need to get a psych eval done.  I will be having Centennial do the WLS and I know they "prefer" Evelyn Frye Center but I can't afford to come out of pocket $300 for that.  I have very good 100% coverage insurance with BCBS Excellus of NY and don't get why that place won't bill insurance. Anywho, according to BCBS they don't have a preference.  Anyone have any suggestions about who else I could see to have the psych eval done that insurance and Centennial would be OK with.  As always, your information is greatly appreciated.

 

I would check to see if you insurance covers this expense, because from my experience and most on the board, this is an expense that is not covered by insurance.  You can find out and ask if they will allow you to go to another doctor, once you have found out if insurance covers this expense.  Good luck!! I'm going through Centennial and it is the surgeons requirement to use Dr. Frye. Sorry.Kim

Dr. Victor O'Bryan at Baptist is good.  He's done a lot of us on the board.  I think he's cheaper. not sure on that though....

one more thing. I used centennial.  they let me use Dr. O Bryan.  Ask your surgeon.

Long time no talk!!! I quit in Feb & had my surgery on 03.28.07. How are you!!!! I used our insurances pysch & had no problem with Centenial accepting it!!!
