Calling all LOSERS-TO-BE

We have been so blessed to have so many lately to be approved to become a LOSER and I have lost track of everyones dates.  I would love it and it will help everyone if you would please post your date, hospital, and doctor under this post.   Thanks!! Shelia

I will be having surgery on August 6th, my surgeon is Dr. Wayne Westmoreland at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro.

Hello Shelia   I was approved on July 23 with bcbs of Illinois. The whole procees took 14 mos. I  have a consult with Dr. Virgina Weaver on Sept 12. I will get my surgery date when I see her. I will have my surgery at St. Francis  hospital in Memphis. I have been lurking around this board for several months. I have learned a lot of valuable info here. This is a  great means of finding out very important  information from  people who are already on the losing side. GREAT JOB GUYS!!! Thanks Barbara

Barbara,          I am so glad that you have come out and joined us and are no longer lurking!!!  Congrats on your surgery date, keep us posted and when it gets closer to time, remind us all.  The people here are wonderful and a lot of great info.  We all understand what each other has been through and we are very supportive.  Maybe you can try to come down for our Lunch Bunch meeting, we would all love to meet you in person, the next one will be July 11 @ 1:00 in Cool Springs, the place will be posted closer to time. Hi Shelia!  My surgery date is August 13th @ 5:30 am with Dr. Spaw at Baptist.  I have pre-op testing this Thursday and I'm starting my 2 week diet in the morning  ....already mourning the loss of food and I haven't even done without yet!  Rhonda

HI Shelia, I had my RNY on 7/10/07 in Memphis by Dr. George Woodman.  I was very blessed in that my claim was approved on the first go around and it only took two weeks.  I was approved on 4/30/07 and here I am today three weeks post-op.  I can't believe how lucky I was when I read about all the sete backs some individuals face. Shelia, Good Morning! I have been out of touch since Friday visiting with family. Hope all is well with you. Shelia I read all that you have on your agenda this fall and eventhough it seems to be a gargantuan task I know that you will overcome. I have my RNY surgery on August 6th @ Baptist Hospital and Dr Albert Spaw is my Surgeon. I have been on the Pre-Op diet since July 19 and start all liquids today I will need everyone's prayers. I have decided to treat this as a fast and as an opportunity to draw closer to God.  I have fasted on numerous occasions and have always found this to be a wonderful spiritual time of fellowship with my Savior and Lord. Thanks for keeping tabs on us 'newbies' Blessings Will

I will be having Lap-Band surgery on August 24th at 7:15 am at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis, TN.  My doctor is George Woodman. I am soo excited and I can hardly wait!

My surgery is set for September 17th @ Centennial with Dr. Olsen.

I wish everyone the best with their surgery. I will be keeping up with each of you on the boards. I may not have time to post but I will be reading up on all of you.
