Missy,           If you think you feel naked right now, just wait until you look in your closet and all the clothes you have are too big!!! LOL         We all come from different backgrounds, however we share one thing and that is living with obesity and the things that go along with that.  Therefore, do not ever feel alone, because we are all here for you!! Glad you are naked this time!!! Thanks for sharing, Shelia

Missy,   This is a very safe place. I can't wait to get approved. I know I can say things here I have never said to friends or even family. Everyone here has been in my shoes. Ellen

Missy, It is okay to feel that way.  Sometimes it is hard for us to open the door of our life and let others in. For so long we close down and don't let anyone know or see anything about us.  Just remember that we are all taking the same journey and are just at different points on the trail.  We have all been where you are and know how hard it is to open up to anyone especially strangers.  Just remember that we are not strangers we are part of your WLS family and we love you and will be there for you during the good and supporting you during the bad.   Congratulations on posting your story. Missy, Thank You for sharing your story!  I guess the biggest thing I could say at this point is..."Welcome Home".  This is home, a place where you can do just as you did...share your story.  A place to feel safe, a place to laugh, cry, and feel however you want to feel!  A place of safety!  You are in my prayers as you go throughout this journey.  and remember one thing, one BIG thing, "You are not alone, everyone here understands where you are coming from, and where you are headed! I'm glad you felt safe enough to share your feelings.  Like I said earlier, "Welcome Home"! Have a great week!

Missy it takes courage to write in the profile.  I find myself at times wanting to erase things. Then I remember my original thought... be honest. Tell the truth and hope it helps someone else. If so, it was worth it.  We are all alike. We all have problems that hurt us, and victories that spawn us on... though different things have happened in our lives we are all human and fail miserably at times... while at others rise to the occasion and suprise even ourselves of the depths of conviction and passion we find there... I'm glad you shared your story and I am going now to read it.... please share often.  If for anyone, for yourself... so that you will never forget your journey... it will always be there to challenge you and call you upwards to a higher place.

I have discovered since my surgery that in a safe environment, it is so much easier to be transparent.  Just dont go overboard like me..LOL!!!  I think sometimes my buddies wish I WOULD keep some things to myself!  That transparency will help so many people coming behind you. I am a nurse also and very impressed with your work at Vandy and Dr. Frist.  Imagine the possibilities when you are ready to stop hiding.  You are on the road to healing those deep hurts.  I suggest counseling.  It helps everyone!  The future is wide open for you! Good luck to you and keep posting!
