Gladiator Protein Help, Please

Freddie, I am going to continue to call Paul and Rebecca, but their phone is busy. I found this recipe and he can do it with either Fage or Carb Control from Krogers and leave the fruit off until Dr. Spaw says he can have fruit, I will be six months tomorrow and have not had fruit yet. 1 rounded scoop protein (about 25 g) 1/4 cup low fat/low sugar vanilla yogurt 6-7 strawberries (I like them frozen cause it tastes more like a milkshake to me) 3/4 cup water handful of ice 3 packets of splenda Also if he is using a regular blender, it may be putting to much air in the shake and they may want to invest in a Magic Bullet. I wish I had one in the beginning!! Shelia

I use the Gladiator protein powder and love it so here are a couple of my favorites. Make sure he knows that 2 scoops of the Gladiator protein has 45 grams of protein, which is more than we can absorb at one sitting. He needs to use no more than 1 scoop per 8 oz protein shake. Strawberry (or Strawberry/Banana) Smoothie 1/2 cup crushed ice or 4-5 ice cubes 2 oz SF Strawberry Da Vinci Syrup (or 1 oz each strawberry and banana Da Vinci) 1 frozen strawberry (2 inch piece of banana frozen, opt) 2 oz Micellar milk or skim milk 2 oz water 1 scoop Gladiator Strawberry protein powder Chocolate Banana 1/2 cup crushed ice 2 oz SF banana Da Vinci syrup 2 inch piece of frozen banana 2 oz Micellar milk or skim milk 2 oz water 1 scoop Chocolate Gladiator protein powder Chocolate Peanut Butter 1/2 cup crushed ice 2 oz Micellar milk or skim milk 2 oz SF Peanut Butter Da Vinci Syrup 2 oz water 1 scoop Chocolate Gladiator protein powder * an alternate version would be to omit the Peanut Butter Da Vinci Syrup, increase the water by 2 oz and add a Tbsp of peanut butter I have more but he can use these as a background to create his own favorites. I would also suggest he get some Any Whey unflavored protein powder. I get mine at GNC but Shelia knows of a place with a better price. He can add this to regular "unsweet" foods as well as to warm foods. I add it to coffee, soups (after I pureed them), applesauce, pudding, broth, etc. To add to a warm food, you must first mix enough cold or room temp liquid to it to make a paste and then add the warm (not hot) liquid. The warm liquid must be no warmer than coffee from a drip coffee pot or the protein will curdle and be inedible. I got tired of all the sweet protein stuff very quickly. I pureed chicken salad until it almost looked like baby food. It still tasted like chicken salad, it just didn't look like it. Instead of using pickle relish, I used some of the juice from dill pickle slices. It added more moisture and didn't have the pickle chunks to upset my pouch. The same could be done with tuna. My pouch doesn't like tuna so I stay away from it now. I was also told I could have pimiento cheese spread. No crackers, just eat it off a spoon. We do need to have another protein party. We'll get to work and see what we can come up with. Glad to hear you are still feeling good. Just remember that you have had major surgery, even if you don't feel like it. Don't push yourself too hard.
