update - Melinda, Freddie & my daughter
Melinda - they are going to check her bilirubin count again this morning. If it continues to drop, they may not have to do surgery. They are hoping it will miss the pancreas and continue down the small intestine and pass with no further problems. I can tell you that her color was a lot better last night than it was Monday night.
Freddie - When I saw her last night (Tuesday) she was absolutely perky! She has been walking and drinking and says she feels great. She is very ready to go home this morning.
My daughter - has been up walking and has been allowed full liquids now. Because of the extent of her surgery, they have to wait for her bowels to "wake up" before they allow her to eat. She will probably get to go home Thursday, provided she has "passed" the requirements.
We were happy to learn that she does not have staples. Her surgeon closed the skin with steri-strips so no staples to deal with and have removed. She does have a 6 in*****ision so we were very surprised by the absence of staples.
This surgery was to remove adhesions caused by an earlier kidney surgery and an emergency c-section and fibroid removal, as well as to correct a birth anomaly. We are praying that this surgery will enable her to carry a pregnancy to viability. This is her third surgery for this anomaly.
She has lost 5 pregnancies. The farthest she has gotten was 25 weeks 5 days. Her son lived for 19 hours. Please keep Angela and Brian in your prayers.

P E A C E - It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.
