My WOW moment- Share yours
Hey everyone. I haven't shared a wow moment in a while so I finally had one I wanted to share. Please share your wow moments that you have had recently.
One thing I hoped to accomplish after surgery was to go to an amusement park and ride rides with my husband. It is something he always liked to do but eventually, I was not able to do it with him because I could not fit in the seats. The last time I tried was so embarrasing, I had to leave the ride when I couldn't get the belt latched so I never tried agian. I will never forget that moment. That was several years ago. Well, this past weekend, I went to an amusement park (Beachbend) and rode rides with my husband and 7 year old niece. I was so excited - like a kid. It was a major WOW moment for me to be able to finally get back to an amusement park without feeling like I didn't belong and to be able to get on whatever I wanted. I also was able to walk around without having to sit down all of the time from being wore out. WOW!
Oh yeah, I always said when I lost my weight, I wanted to go skydive. Anyone want to go with me! Come on - you know you want to! Where is the support at!

Congrats on your WOW that is just awesome! My latest WOW was at my kids party Saturday. My cousin brought her kids and I haven't seen them since Christmas, they were getting out of thier van and my cousins daughter looked at me across the parking lot and I waved, she looked at me like "who are you?" as I got closer I saw her mouth just dropped open and she said OMG NITA! I did not recognize you, you have lost so much! Mind you this is from a 12 year old! Of corse I was all
at this and it made me feel great. Also reached the low end of surgeons goal last week of 240 lbs, I am now 239!!!

I am so happy to hear of all of your WOW moments. I haven't had any really big WOW moments recently, just anytime I run into someone and they comment on how good I look is always a WOW for me because I still don't see the weight loss in me...well I can to a certain extent but I don't feel like a really look any different. I'm amazing myself by the amount of energy I have and the more stamina I have when I exercise.

Are you kidding. You are beautiful. There is a big difference in your pre-op pictures to the one now. But I can understand us not seeing our own changes. I wonder if that will ever change?? Yes, i was ecstatic when I finally got more energy. Keep up the great work!

My feat of post-op daring do was getting on the trampoline at my mother's back in May. I may feel like a 20 something but my knees quickly reminded me that they are still part of a 50 year old body.
I may be able to get my hubby to take a group of us rappeling though. Would that be close enough to skydiving for you? We have all of the gear; harnesses, ropes, gloves, helmets, etc. He takes teens all the time.

I saw my brother this weekend for the first time since May. I didn't think I had lost much weight or inches since then, but when I looked back, it's nearly thirty pounds. Well, I was in Nashville and he came to pick me up Friday night...he pulled into the hotel parking lot and drove right past me! He circled the lot, completely ignoring me twice, and then left!!!! About thirty second later, my cell phone rings...of course it's him telling me he couldn't find me. I tell him I watched him the entire time so he comes back...I'm waving like a mad woman to get him to actually pull up and stop by me. He gets out of the car with his mouth hanging open and says, loudly I might add, "How freakin' skinny are you planning on getting?" I just laughed and laughed and told him I wasn't done yet but boy had he made me feel great!
