I was wondering if I should order a few items off the bariatriceating website or would I save money if I went to the Sugar Free Store?  I am contemplating the tasteless Any Whey product.  Has anyone tried that, how was it?  What recommendations do you have for protein powders, etc for post op in the first month or something.  I know not to buy a bunch of stuff because my tastes will change.  Thanks.

I do use the Any Whey and highly recommend it. Most of the protein drinks/powders are sweet and you will get very tired of sweet stuff. Trust me on this!! I put the Any Whey in broth, thin soups, pureed foods, etc. It doesn't curdle and get gross in warm, not hot, stuff. You can put it stuff about the temperature of coffee from a drip coffeepot. I would recommend ordering the sample pack from Barieatric Eating. That way you can try several different brands and flavors to see what you like. Wait until after surgery to try them though. You will want to visit the sugar free store to get Da Vinci SF syrups for mixing with whatever protein you do choose. This lets you change up the flavor some to keep you from getting tired of it. You will meet with the nut as part of your pre-op and she will give you more requirements, recommendations and suggestions for those first few weeks. Of course, you have us too!

I personally just got a few things to tide me over from the surgery.   Somethings worked some didn't ...I didn't order online just the Sugar Free Store.  I did get a case of Achieve One's --because it's good, you don't have to mess with mixing it and a great source of protein. I actually was eating with a few days like tuna and chicken so I don't do a lot of the specialty items...but everyone is different.  I wouldn't advise buying too much of any one product until you know for sure you like it AFTER the surgery.
