I will be 9 months postop on August 9th. My highest weight was 320 pound and I am 5'11". The day I left the hospital after my surgery, I weighed 298 pounds. I got on the scale at my PCPs office today and I am at a "healthy weight"~~~~ Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to be at a weight like this.  I do not regret ANYTHING about this surgery.  Its saved my life. I havent been around this board much lately due to my Multiple Sclerosis acting up but I wanted to share the joyous news with the world!  I was never this small in junior high school. My son couldnt be prouder of me, my family brags on me to everyone and my self esteem has went thru the roof.  I use to hide and not want to be seen in public and now if I go out I WANT TO BE SEEN! lol  My weight today was 175 and thats in the normal range. I never in my life thought that I would ever see a weight like that, but I DID IT~ For anyone out there that gets discouraged and thinks they will just give up. DONT!~~~~  Good things happen. Keep the fight for your life. Happier days are ahead.  Now if I could just get this nasty Multipe Sclerosis under control. HAHAHA~

CONGRATS! That is wonderful.  You have done a great job - especially having to deal with MS at the same time as recovering and losing weight this first year. What an accomplishment.

It truly is a wonderful feeling!  Congratulations!  I am glad that you persevered.  The journey is not always easy but one thing for sure... the final destination is worth every bit of trouble and hardship that is experienced...  That is TERRIFIC!
