Centennial doesn't and wont take my insurance

Got an email today saying that Centennial Weight loss center wont be accepting AmeriChoice health insurance.  Their plan to work with them fell threw so I'll have to find some other place that will take the insurance IF there is anywhere eles that will take it.  I can't even get them to tell me an in-service provider that does any WLS type of stuff. I just feel like crying!

I had hoped it would work out so we could traverse this together.DO not give up there has to be somewhere.Try my sis-in-laws Dr. She has lost 100 lbs in a yr with the lap band. Dr Compton in Paris Tn. (731)644-8372. I think they will be in the office Friday she said. I do not know what insurance he takes and she didnt either. If he takes it I will help you as much as I can. You should have a member's handbook that lists in-network providers of all types. If you can't find it, go to AmeriChoice's web site and download it from there.

Did you try Baptist Hospital? They seem to take most insurance. I switched to Baptist because Centennial wouldn't take my insurance.  Good luck to you, you will find something. Just stay on track with weightloss so that you will be in even better shape when you do finally get surgery :)

I have their members handbook.  What type of doctor should I look for they have different names for many of the doctors but I don't see anywhere that is says Weight loss or Gastrointernologist, or anything like that does anyone know what type of doctor I should look for like their professional category?

So sorry Dr Dyer is not able to accept your insurance ,he is my surgeon and the very best of surgeons ..I went and looked up Americhoice   and i think it covers Tenncare  ...is that right??  I did find a phone number for you to call at the bottom  maybe they can give you some assistance #1-800-690-1606  when you go to theri webiste and click on pyysicians they want to know alot of information and i was not able to give it to them .. click on middle tennessee and you should get there .. good luck!

look for bariatric.  dont give up.  check with every program in town.  Vandy and Baptist.  I know there are many others too!

I am so sorry....I have been where you are and I know exactly how you feel....Hang in there..... Call Marcia Williams at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson and see if they work with that insurance. Her number is 441-2502.  If she says they don't, ask her if she can refer you to a hospital that may accept your insurance. Most importantly, don't give up.....we'll figure this out.....
