FYI - Vanderbilts Dr T may be LEAVING!!

 I know. I am shocked too! I can not believe it. I had Dr Torquati for my RNY surgery as well as my gallbladder and another surgery and all of my after care was seen by him personally. He has been the best surgeon - actually overall Doctor- that I have ever known. I found out today that he may be leaving Vanderbilt for another position out of state. It is not set in stone yet but he said it is a possiblity. I am really happy with him that he has a better opportunity but I am sad for me because he really cares about his patients and I do not know if anyone else in his office (or anywhere) is the same way. It is hard when you really find that support and comfort with someone and then this happens - just my luck!.  Luckily, I am a year out from surgery so I do not have much after care of complications that should happen from here on out but it was nice to know if I needed him that he would be there. Boo Hooo.

This just can't happen.  Can we start a petition or something?  LOL!  I love DR. T. and would hate to have to find a new doc.  I do wish him the best of luck!  He has been a true life saver for me.

Well crap wouldn't you know it? I really like Dr. T as well even though I have only seen him twice but he is a great Dr. I would hate to see him leave.

awwweee, he was my doc too!!! i am so pleased with him and his work. you know i have not had one single complication from this surgery, and my results have been amazing. he is my hero!!! im sad he's leaving, if he does!!!

I actually did have a couple of complications and had to call Dr. T during his off hours.  Both times He got right back to me and met me at the hospital.  I love that man!
