the Wonder of it all

Hello all!

1st I want thank everyone *****sponded to my posts. It is very nice to know that I can post and get questions answered or get my gripes acknowledged.

2nd The male female issue……let me explain some.  I am not sure if men and women eat for the same reason.  I also have noticed thru the years that very few studies are done about men and weight loss. In the past 8 years I could only locate studies that included men in the program none where exclusive to men.  This intrigues me.  Is there a difference between the sexes or do men share the same emotional under currents that women have?

It has been considered normal for men to overeat, to consume more and more isn’t that what we are supposed to do? Can we truly be successful at managing our weight if we don’t know why we eat?

I have lots of questions about being successful in this endeavor. I also wonder about lots of things.

3rd I have to be successful in this. There is no choice for me. The people who are so large who are unable to leave their homes that is where I’m headed. I’m just not ready to give up or into that yet. I need my life back and I have to do that myself.

I'm glad you have found some support here and I congratulate you on the decision to not let yourself end up like so many, confined to their homes and praying for relief of any kind.  As for the men, women issue...the only thing I know for sure is that men will typically lose faster than women.  Wish I had more info for you but I don't.  Just wanted to say congrats...sounds like you are doing some major decision making!
