new love
I went yesterday for my very first ever visit to a tanning salon. I told the girl it was my first time and she was very nice and explained everything to me then left the room and closed the door.
So...I had already been told by a friend that I should just get nekkid and get in the bed
...okay... I'm laying there trying to relax
and all of a sudden, it was like my entire body sighed. I was so-o-o-o relaxed. I'm goin' back tonight!
BTW - it's been a lo-o-o-ong time since my tummy has seen the sun. It's a bit pink.
We have hubby's family reunion next weekend. I plan on wearing a swimsuit in front of family and I don't want to scare the small children with my Casper legs.

Susan,
I know how you feel. I started going so my white legs wouldn't cause anyone to go blind from the glare , but lucky me I don't tan, so now I just use the sunless tanners.
The month that I went to the tanning beds, I would fall asleep and when the lights popped off, you would scare the heck out of me.
It is relaxing, I have even thought about going just for the stress relief, maybe once a month.

Congrats on the guts to wear a bathing suit, in front of inlaws even.

Awwww ........when I was smaller I LOVED to go to the tanning bed.........I am so fair skinned ..I just got red.......never tanned...but the minutes in that tiny room all by myself.....was so relaxing!!
I can't wait til I am small enough to fit in a tanning bed again..........Enjoy yourself!!
Work like you don't need the money......

Hey Susan...are you still talking to me ?
I had the chance to go to Hawaii several years ago. I am so fair skinned that I bought a 30 day membership at the tannig beds in Madison Square. The first week I spent 5 minutes a day, 2nd week 10 minutes a day up until the final week before my trip. The last week I spent 30 minutes a day...It was the most relaxing event of my busy day. Haven't been since, but I still remember the solitude and peace that cvame from it.
So, have fun and enjoy...just don't get burnt!!!

I am not able to go back to the tanning bed yet due to a procedure i'm getting soon (not plastic) but I love the tanning bed. it makes me feel happier. They say peoplee who suffer from SAD seasonal depression use tanning beds and it helps them so maybe thats why we all like it so much... it makes us happier. Not that we were or are depressed. lol but you know what i mean.
