Not ablet to eat

Ok I have a question for some of you old timers.  I have had a lot going on this week.  Not bad by any means! But just a lot of excitement... yesterday though I was concerned about my b vitamin levels as I have had some weird stuff happening to my feet... they are tingly, numb, and when I walk, it sounds like I am stomping my right foot really hard on the pavement because there is some type of sensation loss.... so I had to get my lab work all redone at Dr. Houston's office.... STH lab doesn't know how to perform the b vitamin test as the blood has to be frozen and so its NEVER been checked.... anyway, I'm getting to the point...!! So with all of this excitement, my upcoming date, etc etc I am just not hungry.  Two days in a row I had an AO for breakfast (which I normally do) and an AO for lunch... and not too much for supper... but normally I eat lunch in the cafeteria.  I have just not wanted anything.  Is this normal?  I lost another pound yesterday, seems like my loss is still occurring... but I dont want it to be just because I dont eat.   Shelia posted something about it earleir in the week. I probably should have revisisted that thread.

Our little pouches react to stress and excitement in much the same way.  You need to schedule your meals and get them in.  Dont let your pouch dictate whether you get all your protein.  I know that you are thinking about tonite.  I am excited for you too!  But you dont want to swoon in the middle of the evening either.  So even if you need a bullet, get in your protein and your pouch will probably relax tomorrow. hugz!

What Paula said!!!! We can't afford to let our pouch decide that it just isn't hungry and therefore not eat. If you're gonna swoon into a man's arms, you don't want it to be from lack of nutrition. Have fun tonight! I will expect a PM tomorrow with all the details.

I think I may have mentioned this the other night when we were talking, but I have been really active lately, walking anywhere from 2 to 5 miles a day, usually around 3 or 4.  You would think that this would make me hungry but it has done jus the opposite!  I have absolutely no desire to eat...this has been going on for a little over a week now.  I am drinking tons of water...no problem there...but I am having to force protein in.  At my height and weight I am at now, I have to get a minimum of 60 grams in per day so I know if all I can get in are three AO's then at least I got it in...but that gets expensive so usually I do an AO in the morning and mix a couple of shakes later.  Don't get me wrong...I still crave carbs every other day or so, but the craving usually only lasts a couple of minutes and then it's over.  If I eat solid protein, I have to really go slow or I get sick.  So my point is....finally, lol...maybe it's the increased activity, adrenalin, excitement, etc.  You know the drill...be sure to get it in however you have to! Be sure to let me know how it goes tonight!

Hi! Like everyone else said, I think we all have gotten that way at some point. But the main thing is to make yourself. Even if it is just yogurt or a protein shake or something. If you don't then when you do start eating more again, the weight loss will stall or gain because it is in starvation mode.  By the way, Good luck tonight - as if you need luck!

I have been making myself drink the AO's at lunch but it takes me a little while to get it down. Now I do drink water or crystal lite tea in my water during the day, but the eating part just hasn't happened at lunch much this week.  But I am getting my protein.  In the evening, I get a yogurt, and for supper usually a chicken something or other.... I am at peace and content when home but at work, thats a different story.  Maybe too much on my mind, maybe too much quiet, maybe I have time to think about everything. At home, I dont have all of that idleness and do internet, walk, etc etc.... So I am not going without food! Don't want ya all to worry ....

Instead of trying to force a meal-size portion, try starting out with just a few bites of solid protein, maybe some fruit and increase as you go along.  Think of it as fuel for your tank and not something you have to love.   What's happening tonight?  I've been remiss in reading the boards.  Is this D night?
