New here..( in Clarksville)
Hello there everyone..I'm new here to TN...We just moved here 2 mths ago from Germany ( military family) ..and my LAP RNY was Oct 2005...I've lost 142 lbs and am a size 6 and weighing 129.5 lbs and feeling good.
It will be great to get to know everyone here..and I hope to see some friendly faces, in person one day, if you all organize events/outings..on a periodic basis...
Hi! Congrats on the weight loss! I am looking for the same things, I want to find friends that are willing to talk and I'm hoping to find support groups around here that can help me threw the whole process. I ask way to many questions but if I don't ask then I don't find out what others think most of the time.
Have a great day/night!
Angie

Hello!! And welcome.
You have had an amazing journey! This is a very friendly and welcoming bunch of people. We do have a monthly lunch, first Saturday of the month, in the Cool Springs area (which is just outside of Nashville, south). We just had this months last Saturday. Hope to see you at the next one.

Hi Heather and welcome to TN. CONGRATS on your weight loss. That is fantastic.
As someone mentioned, we do try and get together in south Nashville once a month. Hopefully, you will be able to join us next month. I now live north of Nashville but I grew up in Clarksville. I hope you enjoy it here.

Welcome back to the land of round doorknobs (do they still say that?)
My dad retired in Clarksville and I met my husband when he was stationed at Fort Campbell.
There is a support group that meets at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville. They meet the last Monday of each month at 6pm in the Cumberland Room. I've been going up there for the last couple of months.
You are also welcome to join our monthly luncheon here in Nashville. We meet the 2nd Saturday of each month. I post the location details along with directions the Wednesday or Thursday before the Saturday we meet.
There are also various support groups meeting at different times and locations all over Nashville. My clinic's support group meets the first Tuesday of the month at 5:30 in the waiting room of the Metabolic Surgery Center near Baptist Hospital. I'd be glad to give you detailed directions if you are interested.
