I have already gotten in 40 grams of protein.  I am trying really hard to make sure I am getting it in.  This is what I have and I got it from someone who was so nice to me and came and brought me this stuff to help me out, shortly after surgery(thank you Tina C).. I have Whey protein powder Vanilla 23g perscoop I mixed it with the carnation I got it down. Now I also have Soy protein ISOATE unflavored, I am not sure what this one is like but maybe later I will try to make a coffee drink out of it. I will use these three things to try to get the 60g min, in can someone give me some food ideas? Thank you

Keep in mind that our bodies can only absorb 25 - 30 grams of protein at a sitting. Anything over that amount is wasted. You need to spread your protein intake out over the course of the day.

Glad to hear you are getting that protein in.  GOOD GIRL!  Have you picked up any of the Kroger Carb Masters yogurt?  They only have 3 or 4 sugars a container and are 12 g protein.  I HATE yogurt, but the strawberry is really good, and thick.  If you would rather, you can add some water or even some type of protein milk (I use micellar creamy vanilla which by the way you can also drink outright) and sometimes carb countdown.  Just add, stir and you have a protein smoothie.

I went to walmart a bit ago... and decided to check the soy milk while I was there... it had 6 g sugar for 1 cup, and 7 g protein.  The Hood Brand Calorie/Carb Countdown, Fat Free, has 3 g sugar and 8 protein which is the best I have found yet.  You may want to give it a try. Its 2.97 for a half gallon but well worth it if you need some added protein.  You can put it in your coffee, or get you some decaf chai tea bags and put a pack of splenda in it, 8 oz ho****er, and some "protein milk" as I call it. Or you could try drinking some. Hope it doesnt upset your tummy.  I didn't do it when I was early out of surgery. I still dont drink a lot of milk either.  Regular milk is high in sugars.  Good luck. Hope this helps.
