Stunted loser
Hi Maharet, yes, this is actually pretty normal. It's your body taking a sort of a breather and adjusting to the changes. Your weight loss will pick back up very soon. Also, if you did not lose any before surgery, a lot of what we lose right after is water so once that is gone, it is fat melting so go by the way you feel and inches. You have done so great...just think...when have you ever lost nearly thirty pounds in just over a month??? Think of it that way.
By the way, wanted to let you know that I am in Lawrenceburg and my in-laws are in Columbia so if you ever want to ride together to one of our monthly get togethers, just let me know!
I went and looked at your profile...you've had a bit of a rough start. I'm sure your body is still dealing with the double shock it's been through. As Kym said, it is perfectly normal for our bodies to stall at about 5 or 6 weeks. When you add the additional trauma of a second surgery during those first 6 weeks, it's going to take your body a little while to catch up. Just keep following your surgeon's eating plan and make sure you are getting in all of your fluid. This is especially important as the days are getting warmer. Try to focus on fluids and protein and the weight will come off. Good luck! Susan
