Wow Moment

Mike and I used to eat a LOT at the Mexican restaurant in town.  There was a guy named Alan that we always asked for, and left him great tips.  He was such a sweet guy, and Mike & I had a joke about him being my Mexican lover.   We flirted, and yes he sure knew how to get a good tip out of us.    Anyway, three weeks prior to surgery, I visited the Mexican restaurant every day.  I ate to my little hearts content, and even added dessert.  As a matter of fact, Alen would give me dessert on the house.  There goes his tip up up up again. lol.  Well he left in December to return to Mexico.  We have missed him, but have only visited the Mexican restaurant a few times.  We always ask when will he be coming back. Mike ate there for lunch yesterday and as he was leaving, there was Alan coming around the corner.  So I decided, I am going to go see Alan.  Would he remember me? I got my infamous before photos to take with me, and alone, went for supper. I was jittery for some reason. Well here is my moment of truth.  Will he know who I am ? I asked for his section, am seated, and he walks toward my table.  I smiled and waved, and the look on his face. It was priceless!  He could not believe it.  He asked me to stand up so he could see me, and hugged me of course.  Later, I could not help but laugh cause he acted like he completely forgot where he was and what he was doing there, not knowing which way to turn, and then just said, "I am so nervous, and I dont know why. I can't believe you..." shaking his head. It was hilarious.

awwww....how great is that feeling??!! lol ...having a man make a fool over himself around you! You've certainly come a long way Melinda! What you did certainly took lots of nerve and lots of self-confidence! Way to go

  That is too cool.  I love it when the guys who you knew before surgery see you for the first time, especially when they were nice to you before, and then they just fall all over themselves when they see the new you.  That is so cool, I bet you will be feeling like Mexican food pretty often now.  LOL. Sounds to me like you need to go see Alan again!!!!  Maybe a little more flirting and Alan can still provide a free dessert now and then!!!!  (I can't believe I said that, but heck, I know I'm not the only one thinking it!)---and NO, I am not talking about the sugary kind either, wink, wink!
