One Month Update
Hi Everybody,
I haven't posted in a while. I would like to update everyone on my progress. I had one incession that the Doc thought didn't look just right so he cut it open everything was fine I have had to keep it cleaned out with peroxide for the last 3 weeks it's finally healed. ( no more oozing ). I have a Drs. appointment this Thursday. The good news I have to share is at 4 weeks I had lost 48 pounds. I'm already wearing clothes I haven't worn in years. Since March 6th I have lost 73 pounds. I still have a low energy level gradually getting better. My back and joints have been feeling great with no meds till Saturday when I sprained my bad knee. Tylenol is not much of a pain reliever when your used to 1000 mgs. of annaprox. I'll wait a week if it's not better I'll go see my ortho for a cortizone shot. I'm not having any problem getting my protein Thank God I still like tuna and chicken. I do sometime have to force my 64 oz. of water. By the way sugar free popcicles are the greatest .
Thanks,
Steve
hi,
I am from TN and had the surgery 4/23/07. I have lost 49 pounds since surgery and am very happy about that.
My biggest problem right now is that the foods I can eat are just ......how can I say thiss?.....I just can't stand the thought of them.
I am hoping this passes quickly.....
anyway, it is so nice to have this outlet with all of us in it together...
Hang in there and stay in touch.
Good Job Steve,
Glad to hear things are going well. Isn't it a wonderful feeling to wear clothes that didn't fit not that long ago?!?!?! Hope your knee starts to feel better. ~~Elena

Hi Steve! Congrats on your weight loss so far. That is fantastic. I am glad to hear that you are getting better (except with the knee and I hope that gets better soon). The energy will slowly but surely return. I think that was the worst part for me for several weeks after surgery. Here I was healed and losing weight but had no energy - and I thought I would be up and running races after losing weight! HAHA. It took my family to tell me I had been through a major surgery and give it time. My energy level did finally come back. I know after week 5 when I was able to eat more solid foods, I felt much better with energy. So hang in there. Keep up the GREAT work.

Congratulations on the weight loss Steve!!
You'll be at goal before you know it. I hope your knee heals up quickly. Water was hard for me in the beginning too..but it will eveutally get better!
I found these popcicles called Swirl Pops at Sam's Club... they're really awesome and are more of a sorbet popcicle than the typical ones and sugar free!
