Just wanted to ask if they do a urine test to see if you have quit smoking before surgery.  My date is june 4th and right now is just not going to be easy to quit along with all the nerves.  if any of you know please let me know. I know I should quit and need to but just not NOW!

It depends on your surgeon if they test for smoking or not. Any good anesthesologist (sp?) will tell you that you need to be smoke free to two weeks prior to surgery to reduce your risks of complications from the anesthia. Also, smoking inhibits the healing process and increases your general risk of infection. Good luck!
