Exercise
Alyssa,
Good Morning! My dad is a member of the Hermitage Y and there is plenty to do there alone. he works out 5 days a week to maintain his petite (LOL) frame (135 lbs). He wants me to join there too because of the offerings they have. There is a lady who teaches there who used to weigh close to 300 and now weighs considerably less and she teaches cardio to the kids. Good luck.

I walk/run 2 miles each weekday morning with my doggies (if I dont have interviews and dr appts to interfere). If I get off work early enuff I sometimes walk/run them at nite too. On weekends, we still will do the same or go do something else like hike or power shop!!!! I like the shop part best! And ask Mary from Knoxville, you burn calories when you shop with me!!!!
I also have exercise bands that I try to use at home to tone. I am not as faithful as I should be. But I am getting better.
I am finally starting to tell a difference in how I feel. If I dont exercise, I start to feel bad. Finally my body is working with me!!!
I have a "pool" of workouts that I choose from each day depending on my mood. They are:
walking inside to a Leslie Sansone video
walking outside for thirty minutes to an hour
working out to a Leslie Sansone walking/cardio/strength dvd for an hour
working out to a tivoed Denise Austin "My Daily Workout" show (Lifetime, 6am M-F)
working out to a tivoed "My Workout" show (same as above but 6:30am)
I do one of these five to six days a week. In addition, every day I do a strength training workout on either my upper or lower body. You have to give yourself a days rest between strength training so I alternate muscle groups and do every day, well, five to six days a week.
If I am in a particularly active mood, I do two of the cardio or aerobic workouts...but this is rare! LOL!
