Hi My name is Donna and does anyone know how long after the last appt. do you get your surgery? I'm a wreck and can't wait for a new me.

It depends on your insurance approval and the doctor's schedule. Who is your surgeon?

Hi , I have Dr.Steely at Gateway Hospital, I have tricare Ins. when I did call and ask they said probley the first week of july..I heard it only takes 24-72 hours for the Ins. to approve it.I just wish the wait was over. Donna

July will be here before you know it. I had about a month between my approval date and my surgery date. I thought January 31st would NEVER get here and the next thing I knew we were in the car heading to the hospital. Use this time to practice some of the eating changes...don't drink with your meal, take tiny bites and chew really well, sip your liquids. This will make it easier to remember to do these things after surgery. Are you going to be at the support group meeting tomorrow night? If so, I'll see you there unless I have to leave tomorrow heading to Iowa. You're going to do just fine!

Hi again, Yes I'm going. And I've been trying to eat different but its hard, I eat fast, this is going to be a trip but I will do it.I hope we get to meet tomorrow night. My husband just left for korea on the 9th of May and here I am.Have you lost alot of weight? I'm 5'3 and 228 lbs. I'm a big girl. I have alot going on but I hope after all this things can only get better. I sort of feel lost here by myself, I get bored and want to eat 24/7 I know things has to change and they will. thank you for the e-mails. Feel free to write anytime.I live in clarksville, Tn. Donna

I was gonna say the same thing depends on the doc and insurance. are you approved who is your DOC and just continue to call and see how fast they can set you up. Annrenee

Hi Donna!  My name is Freddie and I, too, just had my last doctor's appointment.  I sent my paperwork in on Friday and I called today but the insurance lady was out sick today.  I don't know how long it will take but I am anxious!!!  I hope to hear something by the end of the week.  It looks like we may be new post ops at the same time.  We'll be on our way before you know it!!!
