we had a big meeting today and afterwards I had 3 different people (all men) come up to me and tell me they hoped I didn't plan on losing any more weight. One of them even told me I am starting to look a bit sickly. I assured them that I feel fine and my doctor is monitoring my weight loss. The funny thing is, all 3 of these men are married to heavy women. It really must be a perception thing. I thought their concern was sweet though. It's not easy for a man to make that kind of comment to a female co-worker, especially on a Christian university campus.

I guess there really isthose people who think because you are SKINNY you must be sick......... Not healthy Being fat doesnt mean you are sick either some arehealthy but most are not. Why is there such a stigma of fat and skinny. Annrenee If you feel good and your doctor says things are good. Then you go girl I am so happy for you. I will be there one day i am on the losing bench!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Annrenee

Ummm oookkk. I guess I would take that as a compliment. . Especially coming from a man. It may be their only way of giving a compliment. And you deserve all of the compliments you can get (in any form). You should be so proud of all you have accomplished. You have done a great job and you look fantastic (and I am sure feel great) weather you lose one more pound or not. I am so happy for you. Keep up the great work! Misty

Hi Susan, how much have you lost to-date? I think you look great. There for a while I looked sickly now i'm starting to put just a few pounds on areas that needed it the most, except I'm not getting anything in the butt area. I'm going to try and make it tomorrow. But not to eat, as I'm going on a picnic with my the new male in my life. But I will stop by. See y'all tomorrow. Keep the great work. Love Kathy

I've lost 127 lbs. I've been stuck at 160-161.5 for a couple of months now. But, I've gone from a size 14 to a size 10 during that same time. Go figure! Now, if I were to have my extra skin removed I would easily be an 8 or smaller right now. But that will wait until we see what happens with my daughter and her situation. I am very happy being a 10. The last time I was this size I was 22 years old, stationed in Italy and had just weaned my daughter. My mother has not seen me this size as an adult. By the time we came home to the US from overseas I had gained back up to a 12 and it just kept going up from there. I need to update my picture again. I love the pic I have as my avatar right now but I've gone down 2 sizes since it was taken. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Mine happens all the time. My sister said it last night. But she meant well. I still have 14 to lose. No wait, 13 now. I am down to 143 and want to be 130 I guess in their own sweet (really my word is stupid) way, they do mean well. But when they gain a few pounds, do we say "think you better slow down there... you're looking like you're facing a heart attack in the face..." NO . OK enough of my opinion. I dont like it when people say that to me. Hope you stop losing weight. are you going to be anorexic? What did you eat for lunch today? What size are you in? Just to name a few.
